Q & A
Why do you love photographing weddings?
Who doesn’t love a party!? I get to watch two people who fell in love make a commitment to each other and celebrate. It’s the little moments that get me, first look, parent dances, and I get to capture it all on camera for the couple to look back on for the rest of their lives.
What’s your favorite part of the wedding day?
First look! It’s the moment that the couple is waiting for the most and instead of seeing each other the first time in front of everyone, they get to have a special moment to themselves. Talking to each other, crying (my fav), and embracing the start of their crazy day together.
What’s one piece of advice you would give couples on their wedding day?
DON’T SWEAT THE SMALL STUFF! I know you hear it a lot but no one cares if your napkins are pink when they’re supposed to be blue. The most important part of the day is that you’re getting married and THAT’S IT! Enjoy your time together and party your face off!
What is something you love to photograph besides weddings?
I love to photograph families and small kids. Being a kid at heart I feel that I can relate to them, get them to smile or jump in the freezing lake if needed. Something I would like to shoot more of is action photography, skiing, sports, etc.
