I’m originally from Canada and grew up on Long Island. After graduating from SUNY Potsdam aka the North Pole, and working for esteemed fashion photographers in NYC, I decided to settle in Saratoga Springs in 2015. Rob hired me as an assistant that summer and I worked hard, even after having foot surgery and wearing a cast for half the wedding season. I think that’s when Rob knew I was the one (don’t tell Rosie). I live right near downtown Saratoga with my husband and 2 cats. I love to watch documentaries and also have a slight obsession with Bravo Shows. Emily has also gotten me in to watching the Bachelor franchise and I can’t be that mad about it because THE DRAMA IS SO GOOD. I feel so lucky to working in Saratoga with the best team and the most wonderful couples.

Q & A

Why do you love photographing weddings?

I love photographing weddings because I love being surrounded by the joy and happiness of a couple’s best day of their lives! It also feels like an incredible honor and a very important job to be capturing a wedding day. I feel like I have a purpose of making people feel comfortable and beautiful and that is an awesome purpose to have!

What’s your favorite part of the wedding day?

It’s so hard to choose!! I love when the bride sees herself in her dress for the first time. I love first looks whether it’s with their spouse, parents, or grandparents. And I love when I have time to eat snacky snacks in the downtime between family photos and the ceremony.

What’s one piece of advice you would give couples on their wedding day?

Breathe. Breathe in for 4 seconds, hold for 4 seconds, breathe out for 4 seconds. Repeat. If you are holding your partner’s hands and looking into their eyes when you’re breathing, even better. Wedding days are so fast paced and there are so many people and so much going on that it really makes a difference if you take a few seconds to just breathe and be in the moment.

What is something you love to photograph besides weddings?

I LOVE shooting newborn sessions. Tiny, squishy, perfect newborn babies?! Sign. me. up.
