Hey there! Emily here. You just got engaged?! Omg! First of all, congrats! If we weren’t there to capture the big moment (we shoot proposals!) and you’ve already made it Facebook official, you might be sitting there wondering how you go from the ring on your finger, to wedded bliss. Have no fear, I am here to break it down for you.

What is most important to you?

Take a deep breath. The first step is to set your priorities. What is most important to you about your wedding day? If it’s throwing the dance party of the century, your first step should be contacting DJ’s. If you are a foodie and want the meal at your reception to stay in people’s minds long after the wedding day, you should be contacting venues with amazing chefs. But, if your priority is to have beautiful, timeless, candid photos to keep and show your family forever, well, you are our kind of people and you should meet with photographers first – even before the venues! 😉

You should book your venue, photographer, and DJ first.

We’ve had many couples meet with us before they even start looking at venues or set a date. We love to listen to your vision and make recommendations based on what you’re looking for. You can check out some of our favorite venues on our Recommended Venues page. We break the venues down by region and you may just find a place you love that you’ve never even heard of!

Ask your vendors who they like to work with!

As you are checking off things on your list, ask your vendors who they would recommend. After all, your vendors work together all wedding season long. We know who shows up on time, gets the job done, delivers a good product and keeps our couples smiling and stress free throughout the day. You can also check out our list of Recommended Vendors. These are not the only vendors who do a great job, just the ones we have work with often and love. We want to help you build the best possible team for your wedding day!

Book your Engagement Session.

Do it for the ‘gram.

You’re going to need some Instagram worthy engagement photos, right? There are unlimited options when it comes to where and when to shoot your engagement photos. You’ll need to decide what season and location make the most sense to you as a couple! For a little more insight into that, check out our What Should I Wear To My Engagement Session blog. Another option is to book an engagement session with us, and see if you like our work before deciding to book your wedding with us as well.

Tell us more about your plans!

Once you have your date, venue, and vendors, we are going to send you our Wedding Information Form. Once you fill it out, it provides us with all the information we need to make a wedding timeline for you. We’re going to take everything into consideration; ceremony time, travel time, how many photos you’ve requested, if you’re doing a first look, and we’re going to make sure there’s enough time for everything. We’ll also be honest and let you know that we see a potential problem with timing, so that we can try to work it out. Even if you hire a wedding planner, we will put a timeline together for you and share it with them.

Hit us up!

If you are at the beginning of your engagement and wedding planning journey, we would love to talk to you! We pride ourselves on not only delivering an amazing product but also having a blast while doing it and the best way to really show you, is to meet in person. We want to make sure that you know all of the things we offer, we’ll gush over our videographer Mitchell and what a great job he does, and we’ll probably talk up how fun our photo booth is. We think that if you are going to spend your hard earned money for us to be with you on one of the biggest days of your life, you should love being with us.

As always, we would LOVE to talk to you about your wedding plans, so reach out! 🙂
